Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, who represents Pennsylvania’s 5th district in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently addressed a range of policy issues and legislative disputes through a series of posts on her official Twitter account.
On March 11, 2026, Scanlon thanked attendees at a local event, stating: “Thank you to everyone who attended our Lima Estates town hall! Later that day, she commented on legislative gridlock involving funding for federal agencies. On March 12, 2026, she wrote: “We have the same bill tee-ed up in the House.
@HouseGOP & @SenateGOP are blocking funding for TSA, FEMA, and local first responders because they refuse to rein in ICE’s lawless actions and violence terrorizing American communities. https://t.co/LsxySN7X2N“.
In another post on March 12, Scanlon criticized Congressional Republicans over healthcare policy and military spending: “Republicans in Congress and the White House refused to extend the ACA tax credits and save healthcare for millions of Americans, but they’re willing to shovel out BILLIONS for a war in Iran that NOBODY asked for.
