Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, who represents Pennsylvania’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on her official X account regarding local initiatives and national policy proposals.

On March 29, 2026, Scanlon extended holiday greetings to her constituents and others observing Palm Sunday, stating: “I wish everyone in PA-05 and around the world observing Palm Sunday a blessed start to the Holy Week.”

The following day, she highlighted recent funding secured for educational development in Delaware County. In a post dated March 30, 2026, Scanlon wrote: “I was proud to secure funding for Delaware County Community College’s new Upper Darby campus, where students can access community-based workforce development programs that will bolster our local economy and workforce for years to come!”

Later that same day, Scanlon addressed campaign finance reform efforts at the federal level. She posted: “Americans’ votes should be deciding the future of our country, not billionaires and corporate interests. That’s why I introduced the Democracy for All Amendment to end Citizens United and get dark money out of our politics.”
