Statement regarding COVID-19 misinformation on social media

Genbusiness006

Chester Community CS issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.

Attention Chester Community Charter School families:

It has come to our attention that false statements regarding our COVID-19 protocols have been posted on social media. Please note that any communication that does not come directly from CCCS should be disregarded.

CCCS has been following, and will continue to follow, all CDC and local protocols to keep scholars, teachers, and staff as safe and healthy as possible. Scholars are grouped into contained cohorts; each cohort is kept distant from the others to minimize face-to-face contact as much as possible. In the event that a child in your scholar’s cohort tests positive for COVID-19, you will be notified by CCCS directly with next steps.

Again, please be aware that misinformation is easily spread on social media and that CCCS will communicate with you directly if any COVID-19-related events occur. If you have questions, or if you’d like to report misinformation regarding CCCS online, please contact us at chestercommunitycharter.org/contact.

Thank you.
