Describe yourself in three words:

Athletic, caring, & loving

When you’re not at school, what activities or hobbies do you enjoy?

I like to play soccer. I play for Nether United. And I like to hang out with my family and travel.

Is there a favorite trip you’ve taken?

This was a while ago, but Mexico with my family.

Who is your favorite musical artist, band? What is your current favorite song?

Harry Styles and One Direction. It’s so hard for me to choose just one song. It’s called “Fine Line” and it’s by Harry Styles.

What is your favorite television series or movie?

Right now I’m watching, and it’s really good, Criminal Minds. My favorite movie…this is hard. I like a lot of Marvel, superheroes and stuff like that. Captain America: Civil War is my favorite.

What is your current favorite book?

Red, White, & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. It’s an LGBTQ romance book and it’s really good.

The MPFS Experience

What grade did you start at MPFS?

I started at MPFS in preschool 3.

Do you have a favorite MPFS memory, event, or tradition?

Probably…when I was little I loved Pizza Pumpkin Night. It’s super fun to hang out with friends and pick out a pumpkin.

What interests have been sparked during your time at MPFS?

My art side has definitely grown a lot and same with music. Probably science. I think it's because I've piqued an interest. I think mixing chemicals -- it’s super fun and cool. Super cool how they have a certain mix and certain reaction. We made elephant toothpaste, and it exploded into a foam.

What do you think is the most important lesson you’ve learned at MPFS?

The most important lesson would be…a lot of things! How to create a really strong community and be super welcoming to people. I think that’s really important to have and to experience. When new students come, it helps me to help them feel more welcome and it has helped me connect.

What do you think you’ll miss the most about MPFS?

I think I’ll miss how it’s like one big family. Everyone knows everyone. It’s really nice to be in a really small place like this because you’re always saying, “hi” to someone. You know everyone. It’s really nice. For teachers, if you need something from them you can just ask. They are helpful one-on-one since it is more specific to your needs because they know you so well.

High School & Beyond

Where are you going to high school?

I’m going to Strath Haven in Swarthmore. It will be super different.

Are you looking forward to trying any new activities, sports, or subjects in high school?

The soccer team is supposed to be on the better side and for high school that is hard to get. That was a big thing for me. They have a lot of clubs there. Try new things and meet new people. I know they have a really good drama and theater program. I’ve seen a few and they're really good.

Do you have an idea of what you’d like to study in college or what you might want to be when you grow up?

I have no idea! Sometimes my Dad will be like, what do you want to do? Don’t ask me, I don't know! It’s too much to think about. That's how I used to be about high school.

What advice do you have for next year’s middle school students?

Be yourself and don’t let people make you hide yourself because that’s just going to make the year not fun at all.

Anything you  want your family, friends, or teachers to know about you or your MPFS experience?

It was super fun and it’s going to be something I take with me everywhere and that it will always have a special place in my heart.
