Centering Prayer: a Spiritual Practice
When: Sat, October 8, 8:15am – 9:15am
Description: This prayer has been referred to as an inward practice, a way to sit with God without words. It is to consent to Divine presence that is waiting for you. Centering Prayer is an attempt to present the teaching of earlier times in an updated form. Centering Prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer; rather it casts a new light and depth of meaning on them. It is at the same time a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. This method of prayer is a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion with Him (after all, silence is God's first language).
We are planning an Introduction to Centering Prayer inthe very near future.
If you have an interest or wish to join us or just listen in, the Centering Prayer Group meets on Zoom, Saturday mornings at 8:15. Please contact either Michael or Rosemary: michael@achievable or rosemary_2003@yahoo.com (484) 429-1556
