Borough of Brookhaven issued the following announcement.
PSA: Mayor Leslie has declared a snow emergency, effective 12/16/20 17:00 to 12/17/20 17:00.
The Borough Office will be closed Thursday, 12/17.
The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce wide-spread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. We encourage all borough residents to stay off the roads if possible to allow our first responders, public safety and Emergency Management Personnel to respond to any emergencies. We ask that you keep your vehicles off the streets and in your driveways if possible to help our plowing efforts. Thank you!
