Rep. Craig Williams has been appointed as the Republican chairperson of the House Government Oversight Committee for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. This appointment was made by House Republican Leader Jesse Topper.

In his new role, Williams will work with committee members to examine government activities, promote efficient use of taxpayer dollars, and maintain the integrity of state agencies. "I am honored to serve as the Republican chairman of the Government Oversight Committee," said Williams. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure our government operates transparently and effectively for the people of Pennsylvania."

Williams brings extensive experience in public service and a commitment to fiscal responsibility. His leadership is expected to enhance the committee's efforts in maintaining governmental accountability.

The House Government Oversight Committee is tasked with overseeing government spending and actions under legislative oversight responsibilities. Apart from his role as chairman of the Government Oversight Committee, Williams will also serve on several other committees including Consumer Protection Technology and Utilities, Energy, Gaming Oversight, and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness.
