Centering Prayer a Spiritual Practice
When: Sat, September 4, 8:15am – 9:15am
Description
This prayer has been referred to asan inward practice, a way to sitwith God without words. It is toconsent to Divine presence that iswaiting for you. Centering Prayer is an attempt to presentthe teaching of earlier times in an updated form. CenteringPrayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer; ratherit casts a new light and depth of meaning on them. It is atthe same time a relationship with God and a discipline tofoster that relationship. This method of prayer is a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion withHim (after all silence is God's first language). We are planning an Introduction to Centering Prayer inthe very near future. If you have an interest or wish to joinus or just listen in, the Centering Prayer Group meets onZoom, Saturday mornings at 8:15.
