Concord township issued the following announcement on Sept. 1.
“It has come to my attention that there have been delays in the depositing of checks for payment of Garnet Valley School District taxes. This issue pertains to those taxpayers who have mailed their school district tax checks to the TD Bank PO Box 48235 Newark, NJ 07101-4835 address. It is believed that the issue is a result of mail delays by the US Postal Service and/or delays in the processing of checks by TD Bank. This matter has been brought to the attention of TD Bank and I am awaiting a response.
Please rest assured that the discount amount will be honored for any payment postmarked on or before August 31st.”
